Baby's Day in the Garden

    Baby, night to dawn has shifted,
    all your little thoughts have lifted,
    cheerfully they float

    up into the bluest yonder;
    sailing through the clouds they wander
    in a dreamy boat.

    Now your smile is softly glowing;
    turn the bedclothes down, we’re going
    out to find the sun.

    By the shallow streams a ’flowing,
    where the cotton grass is growing,
    baby, we’ll have fun.

    Candy tufts grow in a cluster,
    butterflies with yellow luster
    drink the morning dew.

    Canterbury bells are ringing
    to the sounds of fairies singing;
    smell the meadow rue.

    Robins just came down to meet you,
    bunnies dash around to greet you,
    waiting by the fence,

    Oh! Another fine day for us,
    all of nature sings a chorus
    let our day commence!
