Our earth moves ‘round at God’s command.
As trees spread arms o’er field and hill,
spring must repeat her yearly course,
but unto man, God gives free will.
He calms the breeze when lilies grow,
to tear-stained bloom, the sun is sent.
He holds each sad heart in His hand,
but will not force it to repent.
He helps each sparrow find a home,
the sheep and lambs are not forgot;
He gathers chicks beneath His wing,
when stubborn mortal man would not.
With just one word the mountains move,
they understand God’s power, indeed.
All elements acknowledge Him
what more do we, as humans, need?
What promptings from behind the veil,
what glories more, do we need shown?
He reached through nature to our world,
by all creation He is known!
All humble, forthright, faithful men,
who bend their knee to God above,
have felt His strength through quiet prayer,
Assuring them of His great love.
