God, my Father

    God, the Father of my spirit,
    when you whisper, may I hear it.   
    Life’s complexities confound me,
    pull me close, let peace surround me.

    God, my Father, hear me praying;   
    please consider what I’m saying:   
    I find comfort in Your knowing
    that my heart is overflowing.   

    Each day is a struggle pending,
    worldly problems never ending.
    Reach from heaven down to find me,
    tug those ties that gently bind me.
