Grandma's Pocket

    My grandma wears an apron with
    a pocket just for show,
    it never does her any good
    to put things in, you know?

    While it always looks quite empty,
    (the top is stitched down tight)
    she says that it's all filled with love'
    and maybe grandma's right!

    She always finds a subtle way
    to help when I'm in need,
    while listening to the things I say
    a real true friend, indeed.

    I hope her apron's tied on tight
    (let's check it when I go)
    behind the pocket filled with love
    I've tied a double bow!
